Have You Quit Yet?
I recently learned that National Quitter’s Day is observed annually on the second Friday of January – the day most people abandon their New Year’s resolutions.
This year? January 9, 2026
Honestly, I didn’t expect it to be that soon. February maybe – that’s when most people stop going to the gym.
But then it hit me: Resolutions fail because they’re wishes. Goals succeed because they’re systems.
And that’s why I don’t make New Year’s Resolutions. Instead, I make Goals!
Why? Because goals can be broken down into projects. Projects into milestones.
And Milestones into tasks.
And tasks? Tasks get done.
So if you’ve already quit your resolution – don’t worry.
You’re right on schedule with everyone else.
But if you want to truly success in 2026, the real question becomes:
What goal will you build instead?
